The rhyming pattern and illustrations are sure to engage children and strengthen Michael Yu's message. It's ideal for bedtime, rhyming time or any other time! It shows children that their imagination can transport them to a whole new location, gives them hope and shows them the power of dreams. You will certainly enjoy it and more importantly, so will the kids in your life!
I bought this for two year old twins. Unfortunately I don't have a color Kindle yet and nothing about this seemed to hold the twins interest. The material I thought was very well written and the pictures did come out well, but not in color and they just seemed not at all interest. But, I liked it. Perhaps when I can afford a color Kindle and they are just a little older, maybe 4 would be a good age, I will try to read this again to them.
Great story. Rhythms were really nice. The pictures were very bright and fun. The storyline is so perfect for all ages but especially for my grand daughter who just started kindergarten. She loved it and asked to to be sure to review it.
Having written Children's book: What did Brandy dream about? (Happy bedtime stories children's books collection) I was curious to see what other children's stories about dreams were like. This rhyming story is great. I can't say I'd like to taste the ice-creams in Brandon's dream, though! The illustrations are outstanding; so much detail and so many bright colors, and Brandon's smile is truly inspiring. I am equally happy to see a Kindle book with words on the same pages as the pictures. This makes the reading experience that much more enjoyable.
Not a favorite used words that even I didn't understand never mind my kids like "Hue" or another sentence went "tomorrow you'll go from Maine to fin" I understand they needed words to rhythm but if it doesn't make sense or is away above a small child's head then what's the point? The illustrations where great book would have been better as just a picture book!
A Berry Good Dream is a very well written book about dreams. Beginning readers can read it with their parents and can understand the concept of dreaming. It is written in a rhyme format which is always a plus for children's books. The illustrators for all of Michael's books are awesome. Michael Yu is now my daughter's favorite author and she can't wait to read more of his books. Keep up the wonderful writing!
Very cute story and wonderful illustrations. Easy for my two year old granddaughter to comprehend! She enjoys it when I tell her what the story is about by what the pictures show. Of course she isn't reading yet but never the less she loves books! I do recommend this one!
