Required for class, so best to rent it.-- Seems very repetitive in that international human resource (IHR) professionals need a certain set of skills when dealing with teams in foreign countries. First several chapters seemed to tell me over and over again there will be cultural challenges, language challenges, etc. I get it.+ Lots of tables and bullet points. I read bullet points faster and easier than paragraphs of text.> Not a lot of visuals, infographics, charts. There are some, but not the kind of repetitive subject matter that requires that much.+ The chapter on international assignee (IA) recruiting, selecting and repatriation was full of good information and "checklists"> Not sure why my class makes me read the text but doesn't test me on it, other than the Q&A would be repetitive and common sense.There are some nuggets in here, but otherwise, I'm reading it only because I have to.

If it's required, just rent the book. If you are serious about HR, or even if you are just taking as an elective, this is not one of thos books you just need sitting around the house. It is literally just HR from a global perspective.

My textbook has a problem with the first few pages, the pages are printed diagonal and the first three pages before the content page is not bound to the binding at all. The rest of the book seems fine, but just wanted to mention it either way.
